As mentioned, wind can be exceptionally brutal to shingle roofs. Every roof has their limits, but it is worth mentioning some common wind damage to shingles and how to identify them.
- The top picture shows shingles with broken seals. This is most often a sign of wind damage, and without proper attention can turn into a costly repair expense. Whether it just needs a repair or it is time to replace you do not want to overlook small problems that can quickly grow.
- The bottom picture shows shingles creasing. Once the seal is broken the wind will begin to fold the shingle completely backwards. Damaging the integrity of the shingle that will eventually rip completely off if not attended to.
